I thought the start of the year would be a good time to introduce myself:
- I set up Better Business. Better World with the purpose of supporting businesses on their social & environmental responsibility journey, specialising in B Corp certification.
- To date, I’ve supported 35 businesses with their journeys, 16 of whom are B Corp certified
- I’m Co-Chair of the Gloucestershire B Local, which shares social & environmental best practice amongst businesses in Gloucestershire – and we’ve got a full agenda of activities in 2025, so watch this space!
- Alongside my B Corp work, I worked for nearly 10 years at Innovate UK/UKRI – my most proud moments were working on Innovate UK’s diversity & inclusion programmes – Women in Innovation and Young Innovators – incredible programmes to support women and young people to create successful, innovative businesses that solve social & environmental challenges
- Prior to this, I worked for 4 years at a sustainable development charity in a Biosphere Reserve in central Mexico which did eco-tourism, regenerative agriculture, reforestation, female social enterprises and environmental education in schools.
- I have a Masters in Latin American Development and am a linguist by trade
